Old China Hand

I went to Hong Kong in 1995 on my first trip to Asia and was instantly smitten. I had traveled quite a bit before but it was nothing like the raw energy and vitality of Hong Kong. I would go on to visit China many times and I have been to 14 provinces. In 1998, I did a 12 week, 40 hour a week Mandarin Intensive program at U.C.L.A., so I’d have a jump on the language, prior to spending most of the following year in Hong Kong and traveling frequently to the P.R.C.. After dozens of trips and hundreds of meetings, I know how things work in China, how things DON’T work and most importantly, what is and isn’t possible.
